Rexroth unveils solution for fully integrated tire pressure control16.09.2019 11.33
Thanks to Rexroth’s GFT 8150 TIS (Tire Inflation System), harvesters with individual-wheel drive can for the first time ever now be fitted with a tire pressure control system that seamlessly integrates into the machine and is operated via the standard terminal. Controlling the tire pressure of harvesters has numerous advantages. In view of different vehicle handling characteristics on roads and on fields, fuel can be saved and driving stability can be increased at the same time. What’s more, in fields, the increase in the contact surface area ensures a reduction in the ground pressure and an increase in the transferable tractive force due to reduced slippage. Tire pressure regulation could only previously be carried out by retrofitting the vehicle frame, however due to the external piping this looks cumbersome and is susceptible to collisions. Rexroth’s GFT 8150 TIS (Tire Inflation System) is the first fully integrated tire pressure control solution for harvesters with individual-wheel drive. The system is seamlessly integrated into the machine concept and is easy to operate via the standard terminal. The innovative GFT 8150 TIS uses the compact travel drive from Rexroth’s GFT 8000 series and is also available in combination with the dynamic brake. Rexroth’s TIS option will enable manufacturers to offer the benefits of tire pressure control in machines manufactured in series production and thus position themselves on the market with an integrated and reliable complete solution. The GFT 8150 TIS will be on show for all interested attendees to take a close look at during Agritechnica 2019 at the Rexroth stand (A04) in Hall 16. |
