Dr. Steffen Haack (54) will once again be a member of the Executive Board of Bosch Rexroth AG. His tasks include the engineering activities of the company and responsibility for the three business units which constitute the Industrial Hydraulics division. Haack will retain his role as Head of the Industrial Hydraulics business unit. Within the Executive Board, Dr. Marc Wucherer (51) will be in charge of the Factory Automation division.

Haack will take over the role as Head of Engineering from Dr. Heiner Lang (44), who will leave the company by end of the year, as previously announced. Rolf Najork, Member of the Board of Management of Robert Bosch GmbH and Chairman of the Executive Board of Bosch Rexroth says: “I am very happy that Steffen Haack, with all his operational experience in various technological areas, will be in charge of our engineering and strengthen our management team with many years of expertise, especially in the field of hydraulics. In addition, Steffen Haack is a widely recognized representative of our company and our industry – in committees, associations and universities.“

Roles in the Executive Board partially reassigned: three hydraulics business units to Haack, Factory Automation to Wucherer

Responsibility of the Factory Automation division, which was also one of Lang’s tasks, will be assigned to Wucherer at the turn of the year – i.e., the three business units Automation and Electrification Solutions, Assembly Technology and Linear Motion Technology. Najork: “After Marc Wucherer has reorganized our sales since 2017 and has significantly improved its performance, he will now particularly support our Factory Automation division with his extensive experience and competence in control and automation technology.” As a member of the Executive Board, Wucherer has been responsible for sales and for the three hydraulics business units Industrial Hydraulics, Large Hydraulic Drives, and Large Projects since April 2017. Responsibility for these three hydraulics units will be transferred to Haack.

Haack joined Bosch in 1996

Haack, who holds a doctorate degree in fluid technology, began his career at Bosch in 1996. Since 2017, Haack has been managing the Industrial Hydraulics business unit, for which he remains responsible by double-hatting. Previously, he already was a member of the Executive Board of Bosch Rexroth AG from 2015 to 2017. In addition to his professional activities, Haack is a member of the Executive Board of the Fluid Technology Association at the VDMA and the Advisory Board of the German Mechanical Engineering Summit.
