Industry 4.0 for new and existing machines26.11.2016 9.00
Network existing machines and plants cost-efficiently and improve your production processes or product quality using newly gained information. With the IoT Gateway from Rexroth, connecting to Industry 4.0 environments is possible without intervening in the automation logic. It collects sensor and process data and transfers it to higher-level IT-based solutions such as MES, cloud applications, systems for local monitoring of machine states or the analysis of process data. The modular software concept is based on Linux, Java apps and open interfaces. The configuration and handling is web-based, free from programming and performed logically in three simple steps. Through targeted process monitoring in real time, failures and waste can be avoided, plant components can be automatically deactivated for energy efficiency or servicing can be planned proactively. The Rexroth IoT Gateway offers manufacturing companies of all sizes an opportunity to connect new and already existing machines simply and cost-efficiently to local condition monitoring solutions or MES systems, for example. Robust hardware, modular software, open interfaces The IoT Gateway hardware also fulfills the industrial requirements for an i4.0 upgrade with protection category IP20 for the control cabinet assembly. The software that runs on it is based on the Linux operating system. With the integrated Java virtual machine, the efficient deployment of the Java-based applications and corresponding cloud services is done via an OSGi framework. For quick commissioning, different Java apps for typical application scenarios are provided with the IoT Gateway. The user receives a detailed overview of the collected data of the "devices app" in real time via the web-based dashboard. Sensor and process values can then be pre-processed in the processing app and be forwarded to various IoT services, such as those from Bosch Software Innovations or Oracle, for data collection and analysis. Plug-and-Run in three steps The configuration and handling of the IoT Gateway is done quickly, conveniently and completely free of programming via the integrated web interface. In the first step, the sensors are selected and configured in the devices app, in the second step, the data is pre-processed in the processing app and in the third step sent to the superimposed systems. The supported range of sensors covers digital and analog interfaces based on the scaled I/O portfolio IndraControl S20, Bluetooth Low Energy, or USB and RFID. Starter Kit – IoT Gateway and Production Performance Manager The IoT Gateway is available as a stand-alone solution and as part of a Starter Kit. The Starter Kit contains in addition to the IoT Gateway the Production Performance Manager from Bosch Software Innovations. The software merges the collected information into one visualization and forwards specified events to defined persons. In this way, it can serve as the basis for efficient and comprehensive production control. Bosch Rexroth will present the IoT Gateway as part of its comprehensive complete portfolio for the first time at the SPS IPC Drives 2016 in Nuremberg under the motto "Connected Automation i4.0 now!". |
